“Over the past three decades, under the alias of Tony D'Amico*DNTT*,  I have been actively producing and displaying large and small scale sculptures made from scrap metals, salvaged and found materials,  across the globe.  In common with Cirque Archaos and DNTT (of which I was a core member) and Block 9,  three of the creative collectives I have worked with during this period,  as well as collaborating on large scale projects with

The Mutoid Waste Company,  Artcore International,

Block 9 and  Banksy's Pest Control.

Based between Brixton London and Northern Portugal, I run a workshop/studio in both locations”.

“My sculptures attempt to create a new aesthetic from the detritus of modern society, forged using low level industrial techniques. The environment, ecology, sustainability and inclusion are paramount elements to the ethic of my work and act as a constant inspiration to the context of my practice. I have always felt the importance of Integrating the setting of my sculptures within the context of music, lighting and performance, with the intention of providing a more immersive depth to the experience”.

“I am about to embark on a new body of work, fusing my traditional techniques and media of metals, scrap and found material with more sustainable, low impact materials with the intention of creating large scale, living sculptures. The aim is to produce work that offers a positive solution to our environmental future, acting as a reminder of how much of a miracle our world actually is! Stay tuned….”
